Frequently Asked Questions
A few of the things people often ask before starting therapy.
Do you accept insurance?
I’m a private-pay practice and don’t bill insurance directly. Sessions are $175 each, payable by credit card or Zelle. Private pay keeps your care confidential and fully directed by the two of us.
Are sessions in person or virtual?
All sessions are virtual (telehealth), available to clients anywhere in California. You can meet from wherever feels comfortable and private for you.
Who do you work with?
I work with teens and adults across California. Common reasons people reach out include anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, trauma, life transitions, self-esteem, and men’s issues.
What is the free consultation?
It’s a free 15-minute virtual conversation with no pressure or commitment. We’ll talk about what’s bringing you in and whether we’re a good fit to work together.
What approaches do you use?
My work is person-centered and collaborative. I integrate evidence-based approaches including CBT, Psychodynamic Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and trauma-focused work, tailored to your goals.
How much does therapy cost?
Individual sessions are $175. The initial 15-minute consultation is free, so you can decide whether to move forward without any cost.
What are your hours?
I see clients Monday through Thursday, 7am to 4pm. We’ll find a recurring time that fits your schedule.
What is your cancellation policy?
I ask for at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule, so the time can be offered to someone else.
How do I get started?
The easiest first step is to book a free 15-minute consultation by phone or email. From there, we’ll schedule your first session and I’ll send over a few intake forms to complete beforehand.
I’m happy to help.
Reach out and I’ll get back to you, usually within a day.
